I got to test a board that i made recently in some nice shorebreak waves. It is bigger than a handboard, but smaller than a paipo:
This is how it works: padlling out to the line-up with the board held out in front, and once you catch a wave the elbows rest on the board, and the tail of the boards is just under your chest thus making your body a longer planing surface and straightening your "entry rocker":
got some nice fast waves on it, STOOOOOOKED!!!!
