On sunday morning i jumped on the bike early an rolled to the beach under a sunny sky, fresh leafed trees and bird twitter. It was the first day of the year that you could start with shorts and flipflops.
Got there around 8.30 in the morning, just as the first beach chairs were put on the beach. It was a lovely quite morning, most people were still asleep and there were some tiny ripples wich looked surfable.
Since the waves were not big even for my standars i decided to leave my handboard in the bike and just go bodysurfing. It felt quite weird walking over the beach dressed up like a deepsea diver (hood, gloves and booties) when the other people on the beach were all in shorts, shirts and flipflops, but hey the water is still cold.
The water was fantastically clear (happens only a few times a year) and i could see tiny fish swimming around me. I even saw a few microbarrels roll by, and if you were inches high, this could have been your wave of the day!
I underwater bodysurfed a few small waves while a lazy seal lounged nearby said my thankyous to the sea and went for a well deserved cup of coffee. Great morning! Good to know that the times have arrived that i can stick my headunderwater without pain :D
