Birthday handplane

I made this handplane last summer and had it in the water for the first time about a month ago in some dumping beachbreak. On my second closeout i got a nice washing and when i came up the handgrip was gone. So i made a new stronger and wider one and screwed it fimrly to the board. Added some marker drawings and a new layer of linseed oil.

Gave it to a friend who is one of the happiest and most open-minded surfers i know as a birthday present. I hope he gets some nice waves with in on his holiday in Portugal.
