I really liked playing improvised music live with Omniphobe, but since that unit is now a recording thing only, i have decided to keep the live thing going with the Monster Gate Experiments. Maybe i can drone out with other musicians somewhere in the future, but using samples and field recordings in combinations with the guitars seems like a great option too. What i need i guess is some sort of sample-pad where i can start/stop samples from a laptop with, so i can improvise with a batch of samples live. No idea how that works, but it's time to find out :)
the first experiments with found samples/field recording can be listened below, or at the Monster Gate Experiments myspace. Enjoy!
